Managed Remote Teams in Bangladesh

MANAGED REMOTE TEAMS

Managed Remote Teams and Offshore Staff in Bangladesh

We hire your team, employ them legally, and run them day to day.

You want a team in Bangladesh. What you do not want is a local entity, a payroll department, a labour lawyer and a manager awake at 3am. We hire the people, employ them under Bangladeshi law, run payroll and compliance, seat them in our Dhaka office, and manage them through a named local lead who reports to you weekly. It is one of the managed services we run on the same compliance infrastructure as our core Employer of Record work.

What Is a Managed Remote Team?

A managed remote team is one of five managed HR services we run in Bangladesh: a group of full-time people who work only for you — legally employed, paid, seated and managed by us. You decide what they work on. We handle everything standing between you and having them: no company registered here, no local lease, no second payroll, and no Bangladeshi employment law for you to learn.

Teams typically run from three to thirty people across support, finance, back office, data, marketing operations, and engineering and QA.

Teams We Build and Manage

If you want an offshore team in Bangladesh without opening a local entity, this is the shape it usually takes — onboarding follows the same sequence as how our EOR service works.

Research and Data Teams

Contact research, lead lists, data enrichment and market research. A managed research team is the most common first hire here, because the work is continuous and the quality compounds with tenure.

Customer Support Teams

Email, live chat and back-office ticketing. A remote support team in Dhaka covers European mornings and hands off into US afternoons on the same working day.

Back-Office and Finance Ops

Accounts payable and receivable support, data entry, reconciliation and document processing — run against your systems and your controls, not ours.

Custom Functions

Tell us the function and we scope it. If we cannot staff it well in Bangladesh we will say so on the call rather than take the brief and find out later.

What Do We Actually Handle?

Recruitment

Sourcing, screening and assessment against your scorecard. You interview the shortlist and make every hiring decision — we never place someone you have not chosen.

Legal employment

Contracts under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 as amended in 2026, with confidentiality and IP assignment written in at signature rather than added later.

Payroll and tax

BDT payroll through domestic banks and bKash, with statutory deductions withheld and remitted to the National Board of Revenue. See payroll management, tax and statutory compliance, and our breakdown of the mandatory salary components a Bangladeshi contract must carry.

Workspace and equipment

Dedicated desks in our Dhaka office and laptops to your specification — asset-tagged on issue, recovered and wiped on offboarding.

Day-to-day management

A named local lead runs stand-ups, tracks delivery against your priorities, handles escalations inside your working hours, and sends one written report a week.

Replacement

When someone resigns, sourcing and onboarding their replacement is at our cost. You do not pay a second recruitment fee for the same seat.

Who Is This For, and Who Is It Not For?

A managed remote team is the right instrument for a specific shape of work. It is not the right one for everything, and saying so up front saves you a discovery call.

  • A good fit: non-technical functions — support, research, finance and back office
  • A good fit: three to thirty seats, ongoing work rather than a fixed project
  • A good fit: you want to direct the work but not carry the employment
  • Not a fit: a software engineering squad — that is an Offshore Development Center
  • Not a fit: an enterprise captive center you intend to own — that is a Global Capability Center
  • Not a fit: one or two hires you already manage — plain Employer of Record is cheaper

What Is Written Into Your Agreement?

Marketing pages make promises; agreements make them enforceable. These are commitments in ours, not claims on a web page.

  • Replacement at our cost — no second recruitment fee
  • A named coordinator and a named backup
  • A written weekly report, with the cadence defined
  • Exclusive assignment — your people work on your business only
  • Same-day offboarding: access revoked, equipment recovered
  • Transfer rights if you open your own Bangladesh entity

Which Employment Rules Apply to Your Team?

Your team is employed under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 as amended by the Labour (Amendment) Act 2026, which took effect on 10 April 2026. The amendments changed several obligations that sit with the employer — which is us, not you. The ones that most often affect a team of this size:

Obligation Position under the 2026 amendments
Lay-off compensation Eligibility now begins at three months’ service, reduced from one year.
Continuous service Defined as 240 days in twelve months, or 120 days in six months, for compensation purposes.
Minimum wage review The review cycle moved from every five years to every three.
Trade unions Twenty members can register a union in an establishment of up to 300 workers, rising through tiers; a maximum of three unions per establishment.
Who carries all of it EOR BD, as the legal employer of record.
This is a summary of employer obligations, not legal advice, and the 2026 amendments are recent enough that provisions are still being read against the gazetted text. Where a specific provision affects a decision you are about to make, take advice on it — we will give your adviser whatever documentation they need. Contracts are issued by Eicra Soft Limited, the legal entity behind EOR BD. Statutory references on this page were last checked against the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 and its 2026 amendment on 5 September 2026.

Why Build the Team in Bangladesh?

Time zone

GMT+6 gives a full working overlap with European mornings and the Middle East, and a live hand-off into US Eastern afternoons. For European buyers that is a fuller morning overlap than the Philippines.

Market maturity

Bangladesh has not been absorbed by the global outsourcing platforms the way the Philippines and India have. Less internal poaching, less salary inflation, and people who stay long enough for knowledge to compound.

Compliance you do not carry

The employment relationship, the statutory liability and the filings sit with us. You direct the work and receive one invoice. If you later want your own company here, we also handle incorporation — the cost and timeline trade-off between the two routes is set out in our comparison of EOR versus entity setup in Bangladesh.

Managed Remote Team vs EOR vs Staff Augmentation

You now have the scope, the terms and the price. If you are still deciding which model fits, these three are often sold under similar language — they differ on who is legally responsible for the people, and who runs them each day.

Staff augmentation Employer of Record Managed remote team
Who finds the people The vendor You do We do
Who they legally work for The vendor EOR BD EOR BD
Exclusive to you Often not Yes Yes
Who manages them daily The vendor You do We can — or you
Workspace included Sometimes No Yes
Named local lead No No Yes
If someone resigns Vendor swaps someone in You re-hire We re-hire, at our cost
Already have a manager with the time and the time-zone overlap? Then you do not need the management layer — our Employer of Record service is enough on its own, and we will tell you so rather than sell you this page. If the people are genuinely independent contractors rather than employees, contractor management and Agent of Record is the correct instrument instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a managed remote team cost per month?

Our management fee starts at $299 per person per month. Salary and statutory contributions are billed separately at cost, so the fee is not the whole cost of a person. Ask for a quote and you get one all-in figure per person covering fee, salary, statutory contributions and workspace.

How fast can my team start?

It depends on the roles, and the honest variable is how fast you interview the shortlist. Rather than publish a generic number, we give you a dated start plan with the written quote — we would rather commit to a date we can hold.

Can I interview and select every team member?

Yes, and we expect you to. We source, screen and assess against your scorecard, then put a shortlist in front of you. You run the interviews and make every hiring decision — for replacements as well as the original hires.

Who is the legal employer of my team?

EOR BD. We hold the employment contracts and carry the statutory obligations under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 as amended in 2026. You direct the work; we carry the employment risk.

Do I need to register a company in Bangladesh?

No. There is no local entity, registered address or incorporation required on your side, because the people are employed by us rather than by you. If you later decide you want your own Bangladeshi company, we handle the incorporation and transfer the employees across.

Will hiring in Bangladesh create a permanent establishment for my company?

An employer of record puts legal distance between you and the individual, which removes many common triggers. It does not eliminate permanent establishment risk on its own, and we will not tell you it does. If your team will hold contracting authority or close revenue, take specific tax advice — we will give your adviser the documentation they need.

How do I manage a team in a different time zone?

You do not have to. A named local coordinator runs the day to day inside your working hours and reports to you weekly in writing. You keep priorities, deadlines and hiring decisions.

What happens if someone underperforms or resigns?

Performance management is ours to run. If someone resigns, sourcing and onboarding their replacement is at our cost — that is written into the agreement, not offered as goodwill.

Can I move the team to my own entity later?

Yes. Transfer rights are written into the agreement. If you incorporate in Bangladesh we transition the employees across to your entity, and we can run the incorporation for you as well.

Tell us the roles and we will send back a costed team
