Offshore Development Center in Bangladesh

OFFSHORE DEVELOPMENT CENTER

A Dedicated Offshore Development Center in Dhaka That Works Only on Your Product

Your developers. Your employees. Our payroll, office and paperwork.

An offshore development center (ODC) is one of five managed HR services we run in Bangladesh, and it gives you a dedicated engineering team working only on your product — without opening a company here, renting an office, or learning Bangladeshi employment law. We recruit engineers to your bar, employ them legally, pay them in BDT, seat them in our Dhaka workspace and hold their contracts under the Labour Act 2006 as amended in 2026. So you direct the work and we carry the employment.

Scope my team

In addition, IP assignment and NDA are standard in every employment contract we issue.

What Is an Offshore Development Center?

An offshore development center is a dedicated engineering team in another country that works exclusively on your product, under your technical direction, using your tools and your roadmap. Unlike outsourcing, it is not a project handed to a vendor and returned finished.

In fact, the distinction matters commercially. Outsourced project work buys an outcome and ends; the people and the codebase knowledge leave with the supplier. An ODC buys a team that stays, learns your system, and compounds in value the longer it runs. Managed services like this one run on the same compliance infrastructure as our core Employer of Record work.

Your Developers. Your Employees. Our Payroll.

Most companies offering offshore engineering in Bangladesh are software agencies: their developers, billed to your project. When the contract ends, the people and the knowledge go back to the agency. By comparison, ours is a different structure.

  • They work on your product only — never split across other clients
  • Their day runs in your tools, your repo, your sprint board and your standards
  • Reporting goes to your engineering managers rather than to our delivery manager
  • The knowledge they build stays with your team, because they are your team
We are not a software agency. We do not write your code. We build and run the team that does — and if you would rather we managed the delivery side of the people as well, that is managed remote teams, not this service. And if what you actually want is a software project built and delivered rather than a team of your own, that is the work of our parent company Eicra Soft Limited, not of this service either.

Which Roles Can We Staff for You?

Software engineers, QA and test automation, DevOps and cloud, and data and analytics — mid-level through staff. First we source, screen and technically assess against your scorecard. Then you interview the shortlist and make every hiring decision, so we never place an engineer you have not met.

Software Engineers

Backend, frontend and mobile, from mid-level through staff. Specifically, assessed on your stack and your standards rather than a generic screen.

QA and Test Automation

Manual and automated QA, test framework ownership, CI test suites and release verification against your definition of done.

DevOps and Cloud

CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cloud cost and reliability work across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

Data and Analytics

Data engineering, pipelines and warehousing, plus analytics and reporting layers that your product teams actually use.

What Do We Run for You?

Everything around the engineers except the engineering: legal employment, BDT payroll and tax, equipment and IT access, the Dhaka workspace, a named HR partner, and exits and replacements. Meanwhile you keep the technical direction.

Legal employment and contracts

Contracts under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 as amended in 2026, with confidentiality and IP assignment built in at signature. Additionally, NID verification and TIN registration are handled at onboarding. As a result, you open no entity and sign no local lease.

BDT payroll and NBR tax

Monthly payroll through domestic banks and bKash, gross-to-net calculated correctly, statutory deductions remitted to the National Board of Revenue. See payroll management, tax and statutory compliance, and our breakdown of the mandatory salary components a Bangladeshi contract must carry.

Equipment and IT access

Laptops to your engineering standard, asset-tagged and tracked, with device enrolment, disk encryption and endpoint management. Repo and cloud access is granted on your instruction and revoked the day someone leaves.

Dhaka workspace

Dedicated desks at JCX Business Tower, Bashundhara R/A — not scattered home connections. In addition, power and internet redundancy, physical access control and meeting rooms for your calls. Equally, hybrid or fully remote works if you prefer.

Named HR business partner

A named local HR partner with a named backup, handling onboarding, leave, appraisals and retention — reachable inside your working hours, not twelve hours later.

Exit and replacement

When an engineer resigns we handle the exit, the final settlement and the replacement search. Likewise, access is revoked and equipment recovered the same day.

Who Owns the Code and Who Can Reach It

Ultimately you own it, and only the people you name can reach it. IP assignment sits inside each engineer’s employment contract at signature, and access to your systems is provisioned on your instruction and revoked the day someone leaves. That is the commercial question behind every offshore development center, so here is exactly how it is answered.

  • IP assignment written into each employment contract at signature under Bangladesh contract law
  • Confidentiality and NDA terms in the same instrument, not a separate vendor agreement
  • Device policy — company-provisioned, asset-tagged, encrypted, wiped and recovered on exit
  • Access control — provisioned on your instruction, revoked same day, with a record you can audit
  • Physical security — access-controlled floor, not a home-office arrangement
We publish no certification claims here. If procurement requires a specific standard, ask us and we will tell you what we do and do not hold rather than list a badge on a web page.

ODC vs Managed Remote Teams vs GCC

Three models, one question: what kind of team are you building, and who owns it at the end?

Offshore Development Center Managed Remote Team Global Capability Center
Built for Software engineering Non-tech functions Enterprise captive center
Typical size 5–50 engineers 3–30 people 50+ across functions
Who directs the work Your engineering leads Our coordinator, or you Your leadership
Who employs them EOR BD EOR BD EOR BD, then your entity
What you own at the end The team, transferable to your entity Nothing — we stay the employer Your own entity, by transfer
Available today Yes Yes In build
If the work is not software engineering, managed remote teams is the right instrument. Global Capability Center is in build and not a live page yet — if that is your requirement, say so in your enquiry and we will tell you plainly what is deliverable today.

How Do We Build Your ODC?

To begin with, four stages take you from first call to a running team. You make every hiring decision; we carry everything around it.

01

Scope

A short call to define roles, seniority, stack, budget and target start date. Then you get back a written team plan with all-in monthly cost per role.

02

Recruit

We source, screen and technically assess. You interview the shortlist and choose. In other words, every hire is your decision rather than a placement.

03

Onboard

Contracts, NID and TIN, equipment issued, desk assigned, access provisioned to your systems. Meanwhile your lead runs the technical induction.

04

Run and scale

Payroll, compliance, HR and facilities are ours from here. Add or release seats as the roadmap changes, on a monthly operations report.

Start with a pilot pod of two to five engineers and scale on evidence rather than forecast. If you later incorporate here we transition the team to your entity — we run the incorporation too. The cost and timeline trade-off between the two routes is set out in our comparison of EOR versus entity setup in Bangladesh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run an offshore development center in Bangladesh without a local entity?

Yes. As your employer of record we hold the contracts and carry the statutory obligations, so you need no company, registered address or local lease. If you later want your own Bangladeshi entity we handle the incorporation and transfer the team across.

Who owns the code my team writes?

You do. IP assignment and confidentiality are written into each employment contract at signature, under Bangladesh contract law, rather than bolted on later through a vendor agreement.

How is an ODC different from project outsourcing?

Outsourcing buys an outcome and ends; the people and the codebase knowledge leave with the supplier. An ODC is a permanent team of your own — your roadmap, your tools, your standards — that stays and compounds.

Can we run our own hiring bar and interviews?

Yes, and we expect you to. We source, screen and technically assess against your scorecard, then put a shortlist in front of you. You run the interviews and make every hiring decision, for replacements as well as the original team.

Are the engineers dedicated to us?

Exclusively. They work on your product, in your tools, on your schedule, and are never rotated onto another client’s work.

What time-zone overlap can we expect?

Bangladesh runs on GMT+6 — a full working overlap with European mornings and the Middle East, and a live hand-off window into US Eastern afternoons.

How is this different from your Employer of Record service?

Employer of Record is the employment and payroll layer for individual hires. An offshore development center adds recruitment, workspace, equipment, IT administration and a named HR partner for a whole engineering unit.

Can the ODC become our own subsidiary later?

Yes. In fact, transfer rights are written into the agreement. If you incorporate in Bangladesh we transition the employees to your entity, and we can run the incorporation for you as well.

What happens if an engineer resigns?

In that case we handle the exit, final settlement and replacement search. Access is revoked and equipment recovered the same day, and replacement sourcing is at our cost.

What does an offshore development center cost with EOR BD?

Our service fee starts at $299 per employee per month. Engineer salary, statutory bonuses and provident fund are billed separately at cost, and there is no setup fee, no entity registration cost, no recruitment fee for the initial team build and no charge for workspace, internet or utilities. Tell us the roles and you get one all-in monthly figure per engineer. Volume pricing applies above five engineers, and the underlying employer-cost mechanics are broken down in our guide to employer costs in Bangladesh.
